Gender-Affirming Care Surveys

Who is eligible to take the surveys?
The Provider Survey is open to healthcare providers and clinic admin staff working in Central Oregon (Crook, Deschutes, or Jefferson County). The the survey here.
The Parent/Guardian Survey was open to parents and guardians with one or more trans, non-binary, and gender-diverse children living in Central Oregon (Crook, Deschutes, or Jefferson County), and closed on September 11.
The Community Survey was open to trans, non-binary, and gender-diverse adults (18 and older) living in Central Oregon (Crook, Deschutes, or Jefferson County), and closed on August 17.

What is the purpose of the surveys?
The purpose of the Community and Parent/Guardian Surveys is to learn more about the experiences of trans, non-binary, and gender-diverse people and their families in accessing gender-affirming healthcare in Central Oregon.
The purpose of the Provider Survey is to learn more about the experiences of healthcare providers in providing care to trans, non-binary, and gender-diverse people in Central Oregon. Data from the surveys will inform the development of community resources and provider training materials, and will be shared out to the Central Oregon community.
Our goal is to make it is easier for trans, non-binary, and gender-diverse people and their families to find gender-affirming and transition-related healthcare in Central Oregon.
Who is conducting the surveys?
The surveys are being conducted by a Central Oregon Trans Health Coalition (COTHC) founders Erin Rook and Jamie Bowman, in partnership with the Central Oregon Independent Practice Association (COIPA) and the Central Oregon Health Quality Alliance (COHQA), and with support from the Oregon Health & Sciences University (OHSU) Community Research Hub.
Who is funding the surveys?
The surveys, and related community outreach, are funded by PacificSource Community Health Plans, Seeding Justice, the Central Oregon Health Council, and the Roundhouse Foundation.
